Richie Mehta is a Canadian film director. His first feature film, Amal, was released in 2008, and his second film, Siddharth, was released in 2014. Both films ran successfully worldwide and were appreciated by festival audiences around the world.
I had the opportunity to catch up with Richie during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival where he debuted his latest film, India In A Day. The film is powered by Google India and produced by Ridley Scott and Anurag Kashyap.
Watch this interview where Richie opens up about his tortured relationship with India and his experience taking on the mammoth task of putting together a feature film from entirely crowd sourced footage.
