During the summer of 2016, the #ANOKHI13 Awards took place when I had the opportunity to chat with renowned newscaster Farah Nasser, who recalls thinking, “I can’t believe they are paying me. I would do this for free.” That enthusiasm and thirst for the true essence of journalism allowed her to flourish as she moved through the ranks and is now the beloved anchor of Toronto’s Global News 5:30 and 6 p.m. newscast, a prime time spot in television news reporting.
When she’s not reporting the news, Nasser can be found enjoying life with her husband of six years, three-year-old son and infant daughter, trying out new eateries in the city, working on her yoga and volunteering at community events. As a philanthropist, Nasser regularly hosts community events, such as the annual Power of Movement yoga fundraiser that raises awareness for autoimmune disease research.
This was my 5th interview from that time and one that I strongly feel every multi-tasking woman should watch for inspiration . . .
And here is the interview . . .
